Saving water at
home, in the garden, or at work takes very little effort, but
makes a big difference.
The key is for everyone to reduce
personal wastage, ie. turning the tap off when you brush your
teeth, can save up to 5 litres a minute. If the entire adult
population of England and Wales did this, we could save 180
million litres a day, enough to supply nearly 500,000
houses.
Collect Rainwater
Regular water usage like washing the car
or watering the garden can be done with freely
available rainwater and a little extra effort. The
minimal initial expense will reap rewards in more ways than
one.
